Sermon of the Day: Do You Have a Grudge with God?

Mark 16:15

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature…”

Good Morning Men!

Our Sermon from yesterday really hit home and impacted me. So,I wanted to pull one of the most powerful and misunderstood commands in the Bible for the Christian.

Pastor Adrian will explain this much better than I would in that sermon, but since everyone is not fully on-board of listening to our sermons I wanted to reach everyone. On that note, men what you put in is what is going to come out. I could not stress enough the importance of plugging in to these sermons. If  you want to experience more growth in your relationship with Jesus Christ, plug-in. I know we are all busy, it is difficult, I get it. But you can do it. You choose to make time for what you want to do. For what you feel is important. If you can trust me even just a little bit, this is extremely important.

I pull sermons from the Love Worth Finding Ministries, and Desiring God Sermon Apps. If you want easier access to those links, grab the apps. Proud of your obedience to grow!

So, the above verse is simple brothers. The most important word for me is “Go”. Nothing happens if we do not go. The greatest intentions in the world do not make any changes.

What are some of the reasons we as men choose not to obey this command? Oh yeah by the way, this is not a suggestion from God. It is a command. Any command that is not obeyed will have some very serious consequences brothers. Lets not take any chances and find out what they are when we are face to face with almighty God.

Excuses not to obey, I mean reasons:

“I do not feel like I know enough of the Bible.”

This is a common one and very understandable. However men, the best way to know more is to read more and spend more time with God. Even more powerfully is once you start putting yourself out there and sharing your story and your faith, the pressure to know more pushes you into God’s Word.

“I am worried about what others may think.”

Although most of us would never admit this to anyone, it is real and alive in all of us. Just remember what Jesus said:

Matthew 10:28

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

We are so blessed in this country because no one will kill us for our faith. We are getting close to being arrested for saying certain things. But until then what are we really afraid of. Our worldly image? Men lets get to the place in our walk where we are more afraid to shame the name of God by our words and actions. Rather than shame ourselves.

“I’m not a preacher, I do not have any gifts or talents. I’m not a missionary.”

This can be very legitimate excuses on the surface. But brothers we just need to start in our home. Start at work. Start in our social circles. We have people all around us that do not know Jesus. Jesus says the only way to the Father is through Him. How are they going to get to God if you don’t tell them about Jesus?

Grow in Him. Rescue the Perishing. Listen to your audio. Love you.
