Angels are Rejoicing

July 24, 2016

Romans 10:9-13

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Good Morning! Oh what a joy it is for me this morning to share about my dear friend Russell.

Yesterday we met for coffee, and long story short we prayed and he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart as his Lord and Savior. God is so good and so faithful. What a joy it is to see someone change their eternal destiny, by believing in the sovereign grace and promises of God.

Although we are filled with joy, look what happens in heaven:

Luke 15:10

In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.

Heaven has a party for every person that surrenders their heart Jesus!

Men I am so excited for what God is doing. My hope and prayer is that God will continue to stir all of your hearts more to Him. To hunger and thirst for Him more and more each day. To hunger and thirst for more of His Word, that we will spend intentional time in God’s Word to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. That we will pray fervently for God’s promises in our hearts, and in the lives of others around us.

Men, lets live more like true followers of Jesus Christ. Not only in word or convenience, but truly in our heart and soul. Lets be authentic, blameless and holy. Let us clothe ourselves in humility (1 Peter 5:5), putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), growing in the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Renew and commit your mind to accept the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Let’s be thick-skinned, in fact let’s be unoffendable.

Not sure where to start with all this? Pray and ask God who give so generously to all who ask (James 1:5).
