Led by Truth and Light

April 27, 2016

Psalm 43:3

Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your tabernacle.

Good Morning Men.

This verse really struck the chords of my heart this morning.

We know scripture teaches us that Jesus is the light, and Jesus is the truth.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me…”

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

We also know that Jesus is coming back. When He comes back, the mission will be different. When Jesus returns He will come in all His righteousness and glory to judge this earth. The Holy Hill of Jerusalem where God intends to rule and reign.

This verse especially the first two lines, spoke to me personally.

Oh, how I want God to send His light and truth out to the world. I want the whole world to know about Jesus.

I also want the light of the world and the truth of the world, Jesus Christ to lead me.

If we are honest with ourselves is it easy to be led by the light and truth of Jesus Christ?

In today’s world we are not surrounded by light and truth, but rather darkness and half-truths. It is difficult to run this race, but men it is so worth it. Look at what the Psalmist teaches us in Psalm 1:1-3 :

1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
    Planted by the rivers of water,
    That brings forth its fruit in its season,
    Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

This is being led by the light and truth of Jesus Christ men. Seek this with all your heart. Remove evil thoughts and ways from your life. Be Holy for I am Holy says the Lord. It’s difficult and ongoing, but possible.

Remember with God all things are possible.
