Matthew 23:

Wow. Some heavy blows in this chapter Jesus lays on them. I’m sure these guys didn’t like this. The same is for us that may live spiritually false lives, we will be disgusting to Jesus. However these words would be the least of our problems. Facing Jesus for judgment is the thing to fear.

Matthew 24:

This chapter is so heavy. I could read it over and over and just keep getting blown away by the things that are happening, and going to happen in this world. I highlighted a few verses that really stood out to me and I want to piece them all together:

(4-5) Jesus told them, Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name.(15) The day is coming when you will see… (21) For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. (27) For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. (35) Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. (42) So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. (44) You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

These verses really stood out to me, and I hope they really impact your heart.

Matthew 25:

1-30 – Here are two parables that can be summed up with one question: Are you prepared to face Jesus? It’s either yes or no, if you’re not sure, then you’re not ready. The Praise of the master that the faithful servants received should be a desire deep in all of our hearts so that our time here on this earth is meaningful and full of life. If we seek God with all our heart, He will pour out so much blessing that we cannot contain it. We are not to hold on in any way, we are to be vessels with no bottom. Blessing comes in, and blessing goes out!

31-46 – I recently read a post about verse 40. The Word “one” is the key word here. The Christian life can be very overwhelming. What to read in your Bible, how to pray, how much, how much to tithe, how much offering should I give? The list is truly endless. But it all starts with “one”. What you do for “one” of the least of these brothers and sisters, we are doing for Jesus. Just start with one, my friends. Touch one life, be there for one friend in need, give to one needy family.
