2 Corinthians 3:

This chapter brought out the sabbath discussion in my heart. To be honest I am torn and stumped with this one. Over the last few months I have been making an honest attempt with my family to observe the sabbath. The cool thing is it has been very rewarding for us to just enjoy each other on the simplest level. We have worked out some kinks that make it actually enjoyable for all of us, even my teenage daughter; rather than a burden filled duty. Although in all honesty I need to continue to seek Christ in this to find out what is best for me and my family according to scripture. The beautiful thing is God’s grace covering me, and Jesus’ blood forgiving if I have been wrong.

2 Corinthians 4:

This chapter had tons of little nuggets. The nugget that stuck out the most was in verse 7. After reading chapter three, I followed up with a few blog post on the sabbath. It is disheartening to hear christians arguing over non-salvation changing issues. Which made this verse stick out to me so much more. Jesus is our treasure. Our fleshly ignorance and weaknesses are like that clay jar. We must not only keep our jar from breaking, but we must not break others jar. As long as Jesus is the treasure, we should let God sort out the rest.

2 Corinthians 5:

These words stood out to me in this chapter:

confident, believing, stand, deserve, work hard, new person, gift, reconciling.

Powerful words. I like just staring at them and placing them in different scenarios in my walk, and expanding on them. Try it.

2 Corinthians 6:

Powerfully, convicting example of how to live. I can honestly say that I have not suffered a fraction of the events listed in verses 3-10. Although that could be changing in the near future. In these last days, christians or I should say Jesus Followers are being ostracized more and more. Quite frankly, that excites me. With greater persecution comes revivals, separating the Hot from the lukewarm. I know I can be lukewarm at times, but God, please give me and everyone reading this the strength to always be on Fire for you living full of boldness and courage.
