Todays Daily Reading!

God Bless you on your Journey towards Christ. Go to www.i-challengeyou.com for more Info.

Job 22:

4-14 – These are harsh accusations that have no proof. They are assumptions based off of previously taught teachings and beliefs. Poor Job really got hammered from all angles.

21-28 – The true blessings of the righteous and how to obtain them. This was spoken to the wrong person, although all of it is good and true. Application for us: Submit to God, Listen to His commands, Store/Treasure those commands within your heart, Give up earthly desires, delight in God, and Pray to Him in and for all things.

Mark 7:

6-8,13 – AKA – Lip Worship! This was not only a problem in those days, lip worship is very common today. We must be very careful with our own hearts and walk. Guarding everything true, and having discernment in order to make sure things we do, read, say, and listen to are pure at heart. So that we don’t fall into the trap of lip worship, where the heart is dead, but we continue through the motions for whatever reason, other than Loving God with all our Hearts! We must be careful of this.

21-23 – Scary to think of how nasty our hearts can be. Or how nasty our hearts were! Praise God for deliverance from these nasty chains of bondage!

27-30 – I love the wittiness of this woman. I also love the instant healing that happened here. Who knows why, but sometimes Jesus healed instantly from a far (like this) and sometimes it took a little extra work ( or at least it seems that way to us, Mark 8:22-26)

Mark 8:

22-26 – As mentioned last chapter, sometimes God heals instantly. Sometimes gradually. Is it Faith alone? Or is it far greater than our minds can understand this side of heaven?

31 – As much as Jesus suffered breaks our hearts, it truly was completely orchestrated by God Almighty for His ultimate glory and divine plan! Thank you Father for you majestic and mighty ways!

34 – I underlined “turn from your selfish ways” in my Bible, because it is the root of avoiding Jesus. If you really think about why we, or others avoid Him it’s out of selfishness. We will lose our comfort, or it just takes work. If your life is good, why do I need Jesus to make it better? This mindset stems from the thought of having to change behaviors, or give up something we really enjoy doing, whether it is morally correct or not.

35-37 – These verses are so heavy! So true, it’s too bad most people don’t see it this way. Many are too busy living for the now, which is but a shadow or vapor.
