Nehemiah 5,6:

The actions of Nehemiah in verses 1-13 could not have been successful without first the Hand of God, and secondly without Nehemiah living a blameless life. I think it’s so awesome that not only did he stand up for righteousness, but he stood in the gap and demanded justice. But what seems so rare in Old Testament times and in today’s world is how the people actually listened and obeyed the instructions of godliness. We all need to fear God more, and see the reality of facing Him at that great throne when our time comes.

5:16-19 – The works of Nehemiah made his faith evident. He did it not for recognition or gain but because his heart desired it. The blessings he desired from God where to allow Him to do more and bless more.

6:1-14 – We must stay focused on the plan God places in our hearts. We must keep our eyes focused straight ahead, not allowing the devil to tempt us with fear or intimidation. When we do this and seek God with whole-hearted devotion, God guides us with Godly wisdom as he did here for Nehemiah.

15-19 – Nehemiah and the others were successful because of their determination and the grace and power God poured out over them. They were able to overcome every attempted attack against them to destroy and delay this project.

Psalm 146:

Praise God for all that He is, does, promises, establishes, accomplishes, conquers, lifts up, strengthens. God is so much greater than any Praise I can offer. But I will keep giving Him all that I have!

Luke 24:

MY KING HAS RISEN!!! Verses 5-8 is one of the thousands of examples in this book (that is so alive and so powerful) of truth. Jesus is the truth. Nothing about Him is false. And every word that comes from Jesus is also truth. It either has passed or will come to pass.

28-31 – This entire passage is amazing because we know the story, but these verses really blow my mind. I really cannot imagine what this experience for these two guys must have been like.

36 – Speaking of truth. God’s Word says that when two or more gather in my name, there I am in their midst. So cool, Jesus shows us what that’s like, even though we can’t see Him now like this physically. He really is there spiritually.

39-43 – For people who doubt the existence of Jesus, or that He is truly the Messiah. Think about this. He rose from the dead, none of His people can find Him. If His body was still around they would have found it. They cant find it because He rose from the dead! So not only does He show up at their little gathering but He allows them to touch Him as a real person, then He actually eats food. Seriously think about this, there is no way this could have been written if this were not 100% truth. The book of Luke was written about 60 years after this happened which means a lot of these people, their friends, or their family was still around. Any lies or false teaching in this would have been totally shut down. On top of that this passage denies all the laws of physics, none of this can be explained. People cannot rise from the dead. People cannot just show up whenever they want wherever the want, through walls and doors like they dont exist. Then, spirits cannot be touched, and they definitely cannot eat food!!!! Do you seriously see how amazing this is. This is undeniable truth, any denying of this is just plain ludicrous. Our Jesus is AMAZING!!! He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Alpha and Omega, the author of life and death!! And I we need to Praise Him with all we have!

47 – No matter how bad we are, or someone we know is. There is forgiveness to “all” that repent of their sins. Osama Bin Laden would be considered as “all” if he repented, Hitler would be considered as “all” if repented of his sins and turned to Jesus. Powerful stuff here!
