Jeremiah 26,35,36:

John 20:

This chapter is so amazing, it must have been so cool to experience this resurrection in person. Several verses stood out to me through this chapter but as a whole im really trying to just reflect and imagine being here in person. There is too much I was revealed to today to share all of it, but I will try as much as possible.

17b – This verse is unreal. To hear the words of Jesus actually put Mary, and Jesus’s brothers on His level as far as family is so amazing. Our relationship with God is so personal, I feel sometimes that I forget how personal and important my relationship really is. When I forget to worship God, or pray to God during certain times or days. I’m not just forgetting about my God, I am also forgetting about my Heavenly Father. This is so deep I can barely piece it together. But as I’m writing this, the Holy Spirit just revealed in my heart something cool. God created all things, including the earthly father-son/daughter relationship. God created the capability and ability to love our children so much, to the point we would truly do anything for our children including lay down our own lives for them. Heres the kicker…But God is Bigger! The creation can never be greater than the creator. Therefore, God’s love is far deeper and far bigger than our greatest love. So how much more does the God of the Universe, Our Heavenly Father, or Our God want to love us and lay down everything in order for us to follow His ways!?

21-22 – Two things going on here that God has placed on my heart. But I’m only going to focus on one for now. The Father sent Jesus on a mission to save the world. While Jesus was here he made it His earthly mission to always be touching lives or praying to the Father. Jesus never stopped working, loving, caring or praying. Jesus was never afraid to be detoured from whatever He already had planned that day. Many times in the Gospels the detour was the blessing. In verse 21 He tells the disciples as He was sent, He will send them. Jesus doesn’t say their journey/mission is going to be different. Jesus doesn’t say that they are to doing anything less, anything more or anything different. Because of the way Jesus lived he set the tone and the example, now the disciples have the ultimate role model and example to follow. The other side of this sending coin is that it was not specific for the disciples in the room. If it were you and I could never be true disciples of Christ. I used to have thoughts that when Jesus spoke to certain individuals those words were specific to them only. But God see us all as the same, if the heart is right, then the message is right. We have to see this as message to us all, He is sending us all out. As christians we are not to Praise God from our houses, comfortable back row seats in church or from our cars as we drive by someone in need. We are to get out there. And the kicker is in verse 23, we cannot do it without the power of the Holy Spirit; not by force, not by strength, but by my Spirit says the Lord (Zechariah 4:6) !
