Notes from todays reading.

Isaiah 29-31:

29:10 – Spiritual sleep is blindness.

29:13 – God knows and seeks the heart.

29:14 – Earthly wisdom dies. God’s wisdom is eternal.

Verses 15-16 – The potter makes each piece with purpose.

Verses 17-24 – Future Hope!

30:1-5 – God needs to be the source of ALL we seek and desire. If not we will be led away into sin, which leads to death.

30:8 – God’s command to write His words. God gives His word for everlasting Words!

30:9-14 – The danger of today’s diluted Church

30:16-17 – Focusing on the world’s security rather than God, will destroy you…after constant fear.

30:27-28 – the God of Wrath destroys pride.

30:30 – This has not been seen yet.

31 – Egypt = The Worlds comfort and security. The destruction of all who live separated from God. But verse 6 show the spirit of the Lord is filled with compassion and unfailing love for the return and redemption of His people. Wickedness is contained in God’s Love! Verse 7, Isaiah filled with the Spirit was looking forward to that Great Day! Assyrians = the people in this world that live in conflict with Abba!

James 1:

1-2 – trouble should be joy. Trouble should build endurance. Endurance builds completion.

Verse 6 – Seek God for wisdom, whole-hearted devotion will be granted.

Verse 8 – unstable faith will bring nothing.

Verse 9 – The poor have a better chance of turning and seeking God.

Verse 13 – Look at yourself first.

Verse 15 – Temptation = Sin. Sin = Death.

Verse 19-21 – Quick to listen slow to Anger!

Verse 22-25 – Be a doer!

Verse 26 – Are tongue can destroy everything.
