Nibble of Bread : Hebrews 11:39

July 14, 2012

Hebrews 11:39

…yet none of them received all that God had promised.

This chapter describes a few of the many ordinary people doing extraordinary things through

the power of faith. “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives

us assurance about things we cannot see.”(Verse 1) God has many promises for us written

throughout His inspired Word of God. The problem is we want results, we want to see faith in

action. I want to encourage all of you that God is moving in your life, faith is already in action.

The reason we cannot see it, is because it is so much bigger than ourselves. You cannot see

something that is far greater than your brain can comprehend. Did the 120 people (Acts 1:15)

of the “first christian church” know that the gospel would travel around the world and reach you and

me? Not completely. But they did have faith that God would use them for something greater.
