1 Kings 22.

1 Chronicles 18,19.

Colossians 4.

Thanks for all the prayers I got all caught up on the readings yesterday at work. Im so blessed to have a job that allows me to grow closer to God and get paid! Praise God! I was so moved by a few things in the previous readings that Im going to bring them back today. Nothing overpowered it from todays reading. But of course anything you want to discuss from today don’t hesitate to bring it up.

If you havent read this Chapter, go read it. This message will bless you!

1 Kings 17:

Amazing chapter of Elijah. So much going on in this chapter. God does miracle after miracle.

“Every Act of Obedience, brings forth a miracle from the hand of God.”

Elijah teaches us this. He also shows how God’s words don’t just happen every time. God increases our faith by causing us to step out in boldness forcing us to lean on HIS WORDS!

We have to remember this is a process though. Seek God. Put Him first above all things in our Life. Purify ourselves in the process. Be obedient to ALL He says! This Obedience now guides us into the Will of God. Now miracles start happening.

Verse 7,  Although God calls us to something it may dry up just like this brook. God is always preparing us for the next move. The problem is when things dry up we begin to lean on our own understanding. Thats why the Word says we need to learn to live and think in the unseen rather than the seen. God operates in the unseen, or the Spirit. So Keep seeking, Keep praying. For all we know Elijah could have went several days without water. How bad do you think he wanted to run back to town and get some water? Or do you think he started wondering…what the heck is going on, whats next God? I’m sure that may have crossed his mind but he didn’t allow those thoughts to grow. We must imitate Elijah and Stay Faithful, because God is faithful.

Verse 12 – God sent Elijah amongst a people who did not believe in Him. He also sent Elijah to a lady that had nothing. To the untrained eye, how can God do something here? But that’s just how God operates. He teaches us to believe in the unseen miracles He is capable of. And when we do, all involved grow closer to Him. Elijah had to really lean on God’s words here, not only to go to this town. But to approach this lady, then he needed to ask a stranger for a drink and probably assuming she didn’t have much, he had the courage to ask her for food. Then when she tells Elijah how little she really has, he needed to step even more on faith, giving God’s word that her needs will be met! I thought that was so powerful because I know I would have been ashamed, or scared or even felt guilty taken from this poor lady. But Elijah teaches us to step out on faith, lean on God’s words and watch what happens!!

“Every Act of Obedience, brings forth a miracle from the hand of God.”

Thats when God put this on my heart. Whether the act is big or small, God is guiding us into His glorious ways and miracles. We need to learn to be obedient in All things. Look at how much Elijah would have missed out on. Lets not miss out on God’s blessings, He is longing to overflow them into our lives. But we gotta step out on faith and on His words.
