Notes from todays reading.

Proverbs 30:

Proverbs 31:

As Men of God we need to be strong and live in-line with the commands of the Bible. But what goes hand-in-hand is being a loving supportive husband to ensure our wives can succeed in all they do also. Our job as men of our households is to build up our wives, to encourage them and strengthen them. We need to learn to put their needs before our own. The Bible says we need to love them as Christ loved the church, this type of love is unrelenting. It’s a kind of love that will drop what you were doing or the plans you had, to make sure her wants, needs and desires are met. I know this isn’t always easy, but nothing bad will ever come of it, guarantee! After Reading this chapter, I’m sure we all would love this type of wife. But it’s not going to just fall in our lap, we need to work at it. It will be a life long journey of refining, but one that will be constantly filled with joy and rewards.

Psalm 33:

This verse was really cool from start to finish for me. But lets focus on verse 6 and verse 9 for now. God spoke and things were created. God breathed and stars were born. At his command, or Word the World began. So we can clearly see that God’s words alone are extremely powerful. The Bible is also known as God’s Word or Words. Basically the Bible is God’s voice speaking through the eyes, and mouths of men. Men to have the vision, the revelation, or the experience and also men to document this experiences so we can now have God’s Word in our hands. The Bible says in Genesis 2, that we were created in His image. So if he speaks things to life, doesnt that mean we can? So now if we speak His Words, do we now have God’s power availbale to us? Just in case you weren’t sure, We do!

Learn to speak God’s word into your life. Learn to live it, meditate on it, and speak it everyday and watch things come to life!

Ephesians 1:

I pretty much highlighted 3/4 of this chapter, so much to process and digest. Most of this stuff is so deep I don’t fully understand it. The obvious face value stuff is so powerful but Paul the Author is saying so much more in every line. Verse 7 was really cool. Although Jesus paid a huge price for our sins, so did God. That is true unmeasurable love to sacrifice your one and only Son for sinners past present and future.

In verse 14 it says that God has promised and inheritance to us, and the confirmation of this promise is the Holy Spirit. We have talked about the faithfulness of God, and How faithful His Word is, How His promises never fail. God’s promises are not like our promises, we fail…God does not.

I love thinking of Jesus in Verse 21, Nothing in all the world now and the world to come is greater than Jesus! Just saying “the world to come” sounds like a fantasy or a movie. But it is the powerful truth, that this world as we know it will no longer be, and that every tongue will confess, and every knee will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord! That is truly unfathomable!

what lit me up in this chapter is verse 4 how before God made the world He chose me and loved me in Christ, “before” is farther back than i can imagine and in verse 5 He says that this brought Him great pleasure. I get “mind-blown syndrome” God is Incredible…

    • So heavy, cant even fully wrap my brain around those verses! I love the ending of verse 4, that someday we will be holy and without fault in His eyes!
