Nibble of Bread : Romans 8:5-6

Romans 8:5-6

We have to learn to separate the things in our lives that lead to death. If its wrong you know it, and dont feel good about it. If its a little wrong you dont feel good about it. If it could be wrong, you dont feel good about it. If all three examples feel the same, couldnt you classify them as being the same? If you are reading this you dont want death. Life and peace sounds much better, but we need to work for it. In the daily bread I spoke of feeding the spirit. The more we feed the spirit, the less junk we put in.All of our Junk is a little different, you know what yours is. Avoid Junk. Junk leads to sin, sin leads to death.

God Bless You!

When we put the LORD first in our lives and focus all of our heart, soul and mind on Him, we begin to feel the Holy Spirit consume our evey being. We start becoming spiritually minded rather than carnally or fleshly minded. May the LORD pour out His Holy Spirit on us all and fill us with the power of His spirit.

    • That’s awesome Mike. I’m having a hard time with the mind thing and that’s where most sin starts right? I wish it could just go away and let the spirit just be with me daily you know. The battle is exhausting but your words were up lifting to me. God is good and he know what I need daily so I’m trying to embrace this journey.

You’re right Jacob, most sin starts in the mind. The mind is a very powerful member of the body. Think about how many sins began with a simple little thought that spiraled into full on sin. I’ve had it happen to me so many times. If we can bring our minds into submission and in conformity with the will of God, everything else falls into place. The Holy Spirit is with you daily Jacob. Never forget that. Whenever a sinful thought comes into my mind (lust, anger, jealousy, etc.) I try to quickly recognize it, realize it’s from the devil and say the following prayer, “in the name of Jesus Christ, get out of my head Satan.”). Keep up the fight Jacob. Strength & Honor in the LORD!!!!

    • Dear Heavenly Father I pray for you Powerful Spirit to continue to pour into all of our lives. Bless every man that comes to these readings. Give us clarity in our lives. Gives us strength in our weaknesses and to turn from our sins. Lead us all into a deeper relationship with you, teach us how to draw from your well that rivers of living water flow through and from. In the mighty name of Jesus Amen!!
