Notes from todays reading.

2 Chronicles 6:

Although this is a repeated story from yesterday theres still something I wanted to point out. In verses 10 and 15 King Solomon is speaking of the fulfillment of promises that God had made. Our last devotion series was about God’s Faithfulness. This is another example of how God”s word never fails. There are people that doubt the validity of the Bible, which from a human mindset that is understandable to a certain point. But what I have learned is that the Bible is the Inspired Word of God, which makes it the actual Voice of God, and that God cant lie. So basically the book is the only thing in my life that will never change. This Bible is the only thing I can depend on and count on to never fail me. Humans fail, health fails, money runs out, family members and friends die. But the Word of God is Eternal, everything said it in has come to pass, or is yet to come, but it will come. You can count on it!

2 Chronicles 7:

That would be pretty cool if God answered all our prayers like he did for King Solomon in verse 12.

Going to write something about verses 13-14 but waiting on some clarification…

Psalm 135:

The men who wrote the Psalms were strong men of God that faced adversity head on and overcame it with the Powerful hand and guidance of God. So when they say Praise the Lord 9 times in a Psalm there is some weight behind it. They have seen the power of God directly in their lives, like we all have but we need to be filled with that type joy, gratefulness and excitement. Recently God has broken down some walls in my life and I have just been so overjoyed with His faithfulness I just want to praise Him non-stop. The hustle and bustle of my daily schedule limits that, but lately in church during praise and worship its has become my personal time to just give Him Psalm 135 Praise! The more God does in my life the more I want to just melt before his throne. I pray the same feeling for all of you. No matter where you are in your walk just know that God wants us all to have the most intimate and personal relationship possible with him. But it takes time. God is so big, so deep, so Holy, So I AM; that its a process for us to get rid of all our baggage (sin) so God can continue to move closer in our lives!!!! So stay patient, stay hungry and make Him the center of your life and you will become the center of His!

Romans 4:

Amazing chapter. Thank you Father for this teaching! So much in here, but here are the big points:

  • Works
  • Faith
  • Gods Promises
  • Righteousness

Verse 2 clearly says works does not save us, if so we would want to boast or compare our works against anothers. This is not Gods way, think about it; the worst sin is pridefuleness why would God want us to live a way that would lead to spiritual pridefuleness?

The circumcision was an argument that was heavily debated upon by the jews and religious leaders of that time (im not sure if it is still an argument they fight over today?). But because of our culture differences we dont have this stumbling block. So for our culture its either you have faith because we believe and we know in our hearts, or we dont believe because there is no real proof ( at least thats what people tell me).

God’s promises are one in all. If you are accepted for one, you are accepted for ALL! So when our faith brings us into a right relationship with God, we have now opened the floodgates for God’s promises. Pretty amazing free gift. Yes we cant see any of them physically like a new car, but we will see these promises come to life in our relationships, in our finances, in our joy, happiness and peace when we stay faithful to God and His ways. Which in turn gives us Gods blessing of righteousness. However this righteousness is the thing we need to work on in our daily lives, to purify ourselves so that we are good stewards of this righteousness.

Blessings and Love.

another awesome reading and fantastic notes.I appreciate the notes of your psalm reading alot and this note in particular “So stay patient, stay hungry and make Him the center of your life and you will become the center of His!.

Romans: so many things to talk about in this chapter but for me it was in verse 20-25. I love the Faith that Abraham had and the fact that he didnt lose sight of Gods promise in which his Faith only grew stronger. It also says God will count us righteous if we believe in him. which takes me back to your final notes in romans which said it best ” its either you have faith because we believe and we know in our hearts, or we dont believe because there is no real proof!! Faith in God = Rightousness..

    Mahalo & Praise God

    • Right on cuz! Praise God! Yeah I like that too, gets me motivated!

Those verses are awesome. Abrahams faith was inspiring!

      amen amen brotha!
