Notes from todays reading.

1 Samuel 24:

INTEGRITY!! What an amazing chapter of David being the ultimate role model of Integrity and submission to God’s will. David brings glory to God by allowing God to remain in control of a desperate situation. This is so amazing, how many times do we take control of our situations, rather than just allowing God to remain in control?

Psalm 57:

When we remain blameless in our actions, when we continue to look to God for our protection verse 6 will come true. Our enemies may be here physically or they can be unseen powers (Ephesians 6:12) battling to keep us from attaining the life God has planned for us. Like verse 3 says, help from heaven will come to rescue us. David realizes that his earthly battle has spiritual forces driving it. Even in the midst of his sorrows David speaks of unfailing love, and faithfulness. Unreal that David is so trusting in Gods faithfulness when his situation shows no signs it on the surface.

Psalm 58:

Verse 11, David lives for Gods glory. He doesnt want God to fix his problem so he no longer has a problem. He wants Gods deliverance so that “everyone” will see Gods power, mercy and grace. Unbelieving people want results, they want proof. David wants his trials to bring others into Gods light. Truly an amazing servant, an awesome attitude that shows how David was really a man after Gods heart.

1 Chronicles 8:

Tough Chapter. But starting in verse 34, we see the descendants of Jonathan. Im pretty sure that some of these men became Men of God. Im curious to see as we continue reading how God blesses Jonathan for his allegiance and faithfulness to David through his descendants.

Matthew 8:

Verse 1-4 has the keys to being healed. See if you can find these things in the text. First we need to seek God, throughout this process we need to come to a point of submission. When we realize its not by our might, but His. We need to then believe that He will and is going to Heal us. Once we are healed our offering comes in the process of prayers, praise testimony and constant adoration.

The problem is Usually the joy wears off and we forget about God, and his greatness, at least until the next time we need help…No wonder why He doesnt answer in our timing. He’s got to build us up more!

God Bless.
